15 new parts are available to help teach painting basic geometric shapes. New parts include pipes, boxes, corners, grooves, openwork, curved panels, and large flat panels. These parts are accessible in all coating or blasting processes and all new SimSpray® models.

SimSpray now supports universal scoring rules. This lets instructors customize the score settings for lessons and projects. These scoring rules make it easy to control how performance qualities are weighted in SimSpray’s scoring system.

The score panels, accessed on the touch-screen monitor and seen inside the training environment, have been updated to reflect the changes made to the scoring system.

The Coverage Map now uses color gradients to provide more details on film thickness. The coverage map also adjusts to custom target film thickness and tolerance.

Red indicates where the coating is too thick, or above tolerance, with bright to dark red showing where the coating is thinner and thicker, respectively.
Green indicates the coating is within the project’s target thickness range, with light green and dark green showing where the coating is thinner or thicker, but still within tolerance.
Blue indicates where the coating is too thin, or below tolerance, with light and dark blue showing where the coating is thinner and thicker, respectively.

We’ve improved SimSpray’s abrasive blasting process for better training and feedback.

We’ve also added the ability to edit angle and distance ranges for custom blast projects. This works with the new angle cue for clearer guidance on what angle users should use while blasting.

We’ve improved SimSpray’s calibration process to let users adjust their training space. The new calibration process is three easy-to-follow steps with on-screen visual and text guidance. Users can use their spray gun, powder gun, or blasting gun to set where parts appear. They will then choose a training room size that suits their physical environment.

Several “quality of life” changes have been added:

Consult VRSim or your SimSpray distributor for instructions and information regarding eligibility.

       Back to Updates

   111 Roberts St. Suite L 860 893 0080

info@VRSim.net

VRSim Newsletter Signup

Spring 2020 UpdateSimSpray 3.2 New Parts: Basic Geometry 15 new parts are available to help teach painting basic geometric shapes.
